A TMZ Christmas

Since there weren’t any Yankees making news over the holiday, I had way too much time on my hands. I found myself musing about Randy Quaid, who, after being arrested in Texas, showed up at a hearing here in Santa Barbara this week. He and his wife are accused of skipping out on the $10,000 tab they ran up at the San Ysidro Ranch, a resort near my house. Mug shots are so unflattering, aren’t they?

Charlie Sheen got into a little scrape while vacationing in Aspen.

At least the media let the Tiger Woods story die (wishful thinking).

No, I promise this blog isn’t going all tabloid. The above items are just an excuse to post the following celebrity look-alike pics a friend sent me today. Enjoy and hope you had a Merry Christmas.

Merry merry and Happy happy, Jane. I trust it was All That and will continue to be so…we’re sloshing thru an inch or more of cold rain that’s washing away our beautiful snow, but can’t complain with the midwest being snowed under…heard about Sheen, but not Randy Quaid…after seeing too much of him on endless “Christmas Vacation” reruns, the beard is a shock…LOVE those look-alike pix, got a similar e-mail too…thought Elvis was a dead ringer for Liberty until I saw Jacko with Imhotep/Whoever…freaky!! Son #2 was thrilled to get a Yankees 27-time World Champs T-shirt as part of his Xmas bounty…he’s programmed all the Yankee player moves into his MLB video game, and the Fantasy Yanks are doing just fine…a hopeful omen 4 tha future?!?

Dave, to think I’ve been complaining about the cold weather here in Santa Barbara over the last few days (we’ve been down below freezing at night). Sounds like you’ve had it bad. The Randy Quaid thing was weird because he and his wife pleaded not guilty but the hotel says they never paid. Glad Son #2 is happy with his Yankees bounty. I’ll take any positive omen for the team.

How nice that your Aunt and Uncle are coming up from Florida for the holiday, Virginia. I’m glad you’re having a good time. I’ll hop over and check out your post right now.

Michael’s too cold to go anywhere, Paul. As I wrote to Dave, it’s been in the 20s and 30s at night – not very California-like.

    Jane,
The Charlie Sheen this is the closest to baseball. Funny, Versus played “Major League” a few times the last few days. Ahhh, Rick Vaugh and the California Penal League.
I actually think there is a six degree of seperation thing going on with the TMZ posting….
Randy Quaid played that obnoxious fan in “Major League II” wearing the Indian garb.
Where is Will Smith when you need him.

The photos are fantastic………Always thought Clay was evil (lol).

I didn’t even think of the baseball movies featuring Sheen and Quaid, Renegade. You’re so right about the six degrees thing. Even when there’s no baseball, there’s baseball!

Happy holidays to all. I got some nice things, including lots of Yankee stuff…some surprise; huh? Christmas Eve was spent with my husband’s family and Christmas Day with mine. Very different events but both very enjoyable.

Anyway, I think its 54 days until pitchers and catchers — sounds like a long time but it will go fast.

We just watched Yankee Magazine on the YES network — there was a Christmas event for some of the kids in the Bronx that C.C., A-Rod, Girardi and Granderson took part in. I think he’s going to be an amazing addition to our amazing team.

Its in the 40’s and raining off and on here in NY —like Dave’s area, hopefully this will get rid of all the old, dirty, ugly snow.

all the pictures are funny, but the Michael Jackson-Egyptian statue comparison is just uncannily freaky! right down to the small broken nose!

Sounds like Santa was very good to you, Diane. I hope you didn’t have to cook for both family dinners! I agree that Granderson will make a terrific addition to the team and I’m glad they’re including him in charitable events in the Bronx so quickly. He seems so likable. If he can hit lefties I’ll like him even more. LOL. Stay dry.

I have a feeling whoever was sending out those pics had excellent Photo Shop skills, levelboss. Some of them are just TOO uncanny, especially the Michael Jackson one.
