Courtesy of the New York Post, we learn that fame is, indeed, a heavy burden. Are you listening, Joba?
I guess the next question is….Will Phelps do Larry King or Letterman?

Julia and Bern, I figured this would happen once he stopped training and started partying. Way too much attention for a kid who’d hardly been out of the pool.

Where is Josh Phelps, duque? Is he working for AIG or is it BOA?

I agree, Joe, but you know how it goes with the endorsements. Maybe it’ll all be fine and this will blow over quickly.

I feel bad for Michael Phelps, he’s my age and being such a public icon, everything he does is scrutinized. He never got a chance to just be a teenager or be a young adult, his entire life revolved around swimming, so while I don’t condone his behavior, I think it’s just him being something besides a swimmer.

That’s the thing with these athletes, Emily. All they know is practice, practice, practice. As soon as fame hits, they’re out of the structure they’ve always known and they’re kids again. I don’t blame them at all.

I think I read somewhere that since he didn’t fail any drug tests he won’t be suspended, metsmainman. Not sure though.
